The “Rare Ones” of New Orleans reveal themselves to the world

Recently, several amateur radio operators in the Greater New Orleans area have resurrected the “Rare Ones” of New Orleans.  The purpose of this group is to promote Amateur Radio HF Communications, the City of New Orleans, and the Audubon Zoo.

Today, they revealed the identity of the “Rare Ones” to the world.  Dale Budenski, K5NQ – Noisy Quail, spokesman for the Rare Ones describes the group as “just a few good hams having fun with HF communications and our love for the rich history and culture of the City of New Orleans”.

We encourage all amateur radio operators who contact a “Rare One” of New Orleans to learn about us and to work towards a “Rare One’s” awards.
