As many of y’all know, I am a river pilot on the Mississippi River. Recently, I saw Big John crossing the Mississippi River near Algiers Point. Big John says he doesn’t get out the house much but when he’s hungry all bets are off! Rumor has it, he was making his way to Jack Dempsey’s Restaurant. Moving at 2.7 kts, that’s the fastest I seen Big John move! In any case, this is a real screen shot of the AIS Targets on the Mississippi River.

Here in Louisiana, Alligator is quite the delicacy found in many restaurants! Well, what if you can’t make a trip to Louisiana? Kris took the initiative and purchased a fresh alligator and shipped to his QTH for some gator bites! Here’s some pictures of Kris’s efforts.
