John, KC8ARO visit to New Orleans started with an Amtrak train ride from Michigan. My wife and I treated John to Drago’s Restaurant for some good ole’ Louisiana cooking! Afterward, we took the street car from the Hilton Hotel to the Famous Cafe du Monde for beignets!
Recently, my wife – KG5OGO and I – W5PLT celebrated our 35th Wedding Anniversary in Lafayette, Louisiana. One may ask, What’s in Lafayette? First of all, it is the heart of Cajun Country and home to all that great Cajun Food! Of course, it is also the home of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
